No Placement Fee for Canada Jobs
POEA, the only authorized agency by the Philippine government as per authority under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announces that there is strictly “no placement fees” to be collected to workers for deployment to jobs in Canada particularly in the provinces and cities of Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. This is per press release by POEA on their approved jobs in many countries like Canada last December 2007 only. Take note that agencies who charge for placement fees to workers bound for jobs in Canada and in any country will have their business license canceled if caught.

- Beware of fake travel documents - overseas workers were caught in Hong Kong using forged Philippine passports and fake Schengen visas.
