Fighter Ring Record and Stats

The Daniel Ponce De Leon vs Juan Manuel Lopez fight will feature both great fighters who have great ring records on their name. Daniel Ponce De Leon with an impressive ring record of 34 wins - 1 loss with an impressive 30 big knock out ratio in his 34 fights. On the other hand, Juan Manuel Lopez also with an impressive but young ring record who is undefeated at 21 winning streaks - no loss and 19 of those 21 fights came by way of knock out. With both fighter having this very impressive ring records to each his own, no one can really tell this early. I haven’t watched any fight won by Juan Manuel Lopez while Daniel Ponce De Leon has a very impressive veteran fights to his bio where many of those were from known fighter all over the world.

Daniel Ponce De Leon vs Juan Manuel Lopez Fight Analysis

Estimating from my own instincts and based on the ring record alone, no one can say who will win the Ponce De Leon vs Lopez fight at this point. But if we look closer to the general statistics of both fighters, I can say that Daniel Ponce De Leon has the edge over the other fighter in Juan Manuel Lopez. Above are some of the edges over each other based on the statistics that their respective fight records. I’m pretty sure that those records will have its say at the end of the fight. I am also sure that there will be an early knockdown in the fight as both have the ability to do so based on their knockout ratio. In the end if the fight goes a long way, I bet Daniel Ponce De Leon will win this fight because he has the ability and experience to last in a fight and also since he is the more veteran among the two fighters. The only advantage that Juan Manuel Lopez has is his youth which as we know is not that much of an advantage at only 2 years gap.

Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz Fight Is On?

It’s time for the Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz fight! Scheduled to start in Saturday, June 28 at exactly 9pm E.T. or 6 pm P.T. and will also go on a live telecast on Pay Per View at the same schedule. The fight will happen at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas Nevada and it is going to be a 12 - round lightweight championship bout. Moving to the lightweight, the 135 pound division in boxing, the Philippines’ pride Manny Pacquiao is out to take on his first bout in the new division with David Diaz. Diaz, a legitimate 31 year old lightweight veteran fighter from Chicago Illinois who is also a southpaw has battled against some of the best in the business including Erik “el terrible” Morales in a 12 round championship fight where Diaz successfully defended his title. Pacquiao, on the other hand is said to be the best pound 4 pound boxer today his division with Floyd Mayweather in super welterweight division.

Pacquiao vs Diaz Boxer Stats

David Diaz ring record is a streak of 34 wins - 1 loss - 1 draw and a total of 17 KOs. Diaz is also a 4-time U.S. national amateur champion and a 1996 olympian. He took over Joel Casamayor’s belt in a supposed fight that did not pursue because of the latter’s camp not being able to hold to the agreement. Read more on David Diaz here

Manny Pacquiao with a world record of being the first ever Asian boxer in history to win three world titles in three different weight divisions has a ring record of 46wins - 3 defeats - 2 draws and a total of 35 KOs. Read more on Manny Pacquiao here.

Both fighters have battled against the best of the best in the boxing arena but Diaz has the lesser experience in fighting champions while Pacman has defeated the best there is in the likes of Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Lelohonolo Ledwaba, Juan Manuel Marquez Larios, Solis, Fashsan 3k Battery, Hector Velasquez, Jorge Julio and more. I believe this fight will end up early as with the stats on who is the stronger puncher, undoubtedly, that is Manny Pacquiao so this expects to be a knockout for him as he moves up in a new division. This same division is where I believe Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao will meet again to prove once and for all who is the best pound for pound and take all the disputes to their corners.

Personal Analysis on the Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz Fight

The Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz fight promises to be a good one and I am not counting out Diaz on this one because he has the stamina which he showed against Erik Morales last August 4, 2007 where he won the fight and the heart of a true champion. On the other hand, I expect that Manny Pacquiao will be quite aggressive on this fight to prove to everybody that this is his new comfort zone and he intends to win his fights here too just like before. Furthermore, this is going to be another test for him as he moves up one notch in division if he can be a champion here and if he can stake out on this. I also believe that this will be another stepping stone for Manny Pacquiao to hail on this new division for at least 3 years more although he has to beat his biggest rival, Juan Manuel Marquez first.

Golden Boy and Pretty Boy Fight is Now Cooked

After The first fight, the Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya vs Pretty Boy of boxing Floyd Mayweather Jr. clash, nobody ever thought that they’d produce again the biggest fight in boxing history. They indeed topped it all in their first fight (with over $120 million revenue) over other big ones knowing that the biggest fights were tuned in the heavyweight. All the tickets are out of the booths and all reservations for tickets to the De La Hoya vs Mayweather fight in all upper and lower box back then were even out of reach months before the actual fight happens. Today, a few days after the tune up fight of De La Hoya with Steve Forbes, a rematch was cooking and tickets to the fight are getting to a point where fight fans have a tendency to repeat history. Would you be rather left out without tickets again? Can you let pass this history in the making for the second time? I bet no, so as a tip you might as well have your tickets reserved early before the fight starts on September 20th, 2008.

Reserve Your Tickets Now

The rematch will be met for sure with anticipation as this time with Mayweather’s WBC Welterweight Championship on the line and De La Hoya hungry for the belt wanting to retire a champion, anything can happen. I’d rather have a ticket for myself as early as there is available for me to grab so that I can watch the fight as I love where to reserve for a seat. Seatings are very critical and ticket reservations are going to get harder as the fight nears on September 20, 2008. Reserve your De La Hoya vs Mayweather tickets now!

The Fight Controversy

There is a buzzing controversy to the fight between De La Hoya and Mayweather as the original plan was supposed to be a De La Hoya vs Cotto out in buzz but according to sports enthusiast and boxing promoter Bob Arum, he already suspected that there will never be a chance for the upcoming great fighter and champion Miguel Cotto to get a slot to fight against Oscar De La Hoya. The prestigious promoter also noted that there were never even discussions between him and Golden Boy Promotions for that possible fight. Arum also noted that a boxer has to put a little leverage over his enemy in the ring before a fight happens and the De La Hoya vs Cotto fight was just part of it confirming that Richard Schaefer (Golden Boy Promotions CEO) and himself never had any talks about it at all

Despite this controversy and the fight coming soon this year with very strict schedule on training for the two fighters, history is destined to repeat itself. Being a tips paradise, I am urging you, my readers to go and get your tickets early to avoid stampede in the booths and reservation centers all over the U.S. Reserve now or loose a glimpse of history in the making and regret it forever.
