Hard Drive Data Recovery Tips

Hard drive data recovery is something that does not come by itself because this is something that you have to work hard for before you could achieve great results. Hard drive recovery will always involve using hard drive data recovery softwares to accomplish and the software that you will use is where everything else will depend on. For example. I remember having personally experienced doing the process and the result is a failure because not at all times, you can do the recovery as it all depends in the hard drive recovery software that you will use to complete the process. Another important consideration is to make sure that you haven’t done any drastic things to run the data that is stored in the hard drive.

Don’ts in Hard Drive Data Recovery

  • Opening the hard drive case or body and trying to put things you do not know anything about in place. The hard drive case in only intended and allowed for opening by qualified service personnel only.
  • Forcing the hard drive to go over the process of reformat. If the hard drive is already subjected to a reformat process, it is virtually impossible to make any hard drive recovery so it is better to leave the hard drive alone especially if you have important data contained in there. If you really need to recover them, leave the hard drive be for the experts and qualified people to apply the recovery process.
  • Trying to bump or to jug or to shake the hard drive. If you do not know what is inside the hard drive, allow me to warn you. There is a very sensitive needle that reads the hard disc inside the hard drive and transfers all the data for reading in the CPU. So it is strictly prohibited to shake the hard drive in any case.
  • Don’t attempt to recover files in your hard drive if you do not know anything at all or if you are not sure about the process that you are going to apply. Again, better leave it to the qualified person for proper procedures and methods to apply in the recovery of your data in the hard drive.
  • Don’t change the settings of the hard drive in any attempt to see what you can do to recover the data inside the hard drive, ie: change the settings in your hard drive from master to slave and so on.

These are just a few must not in trying to apply hard drive data recovery or data recovery from your hard drive. This can even lead to cases of impossibility. If you are not sure of what you are going to do, better leave it be because you might even ruin the possibilities that you can recover the hard drive data that you need to recover.

Do’s in Hard Drive Data Recovery

Actually, the do’s in hard drive data recovery are just the opposite of dont’s of hard drive data recovery but since I really want to make this part of the topic, I made sure that my tips are going smooth in your mind. So I decided that I would love to feature this as a reminder to all of you.

  • Do stop and pause for a while if you know that you have a hard drive problem and never take any other step that you are not sure of.
  • Take your hard drive to the proper people and do not forget to place it in a safe place where it will not shake or bump too much.
  • Wrap the hard drive with a soft cloth if possible or if you do not have the bubble wrap. Bubble wrap is always the best for use in transporting the hard drive.
  • Be sure to remember the last process that you are doing just before the hard drive failed to function for your PC.
  • Do not remove any connection in the tail part of the hard drive and be careful not to drop the master and slave connector for the connection terminals in the rear end (tail) of the hard drive.
